The historical shipyard, which is located at Neorio of Syros island, operates from 1961. It is one of the oldest shipyards, named on the sector of constructions and repairs. The high importance of the shipyard is depicted on the fact that in 1879, about 400-500 workers went on strike fighting about better working conditions. This is the first strike on record in Greece, which constituted the early days of the awakening of Greek working class.
The shipyard of Neorio was the ideal place to host my metalworker. I created this mural in the cause of the 1st Stray Art Festival, where I had the pleasure to paint with many talented artists.
Fabric used: aerosol spraypaint.
